BIOGRAPHY - Kathie Adler has been a resident of Long Island for over fifty years and is an experienced Reverse Mortgage Specialist serving Long Island, New York, and also New Jersey. Kathie's mortgage expertise spans eight years from 2001 when she began working for a mortgage broker in Patchogue, Long Island who introduced her and trained her in the mortgage field. Kathie has been a top producer of Reverse Mortgages, but her main focus is her borrower's welfare. Her caring manner and common sense approach puts seniors at ease, and she truly has their best interests at heart. With her expertise Kathie has helped senior homeowners out of bankruptcy and foreclosure and her borrowers consider her their "friend". Kathie was asked to testify about the efficacy of Reverse Mortgages in Suffolk County Court (Long Island) on behalf of one of her borrowers whose attorney absconded with his client's Reverse Mortgage proceeds.

Kathie conducts free Reverse Mortgage seminars to educate seniors and the community. Her presentations include Patchogue Medford High School Adult Education (Patchogue, LI, NY), SUNY Farmingdale, Fraternal Congress of New York, AARP, Village of Islandia Mayor’s Meeting, Libraries, Chambers of Commerce, and Senior Centers. She is an active member of the Holbrook Chamber of Commerce and the Senior Umbrella of Suffolk and is the co founder of the Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction support group at Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson, Long Island and is a former CFS sufferer herself.

Kathie Adler is an avid writer, and her Reverse Mortgage article entitled, “Don’t Fly Too Fast You Might Break Your Wings”, was featured in the September 2008 issue of the Reverse Mortgage Review magazine.

In the late 1980's Kathie directed her own radio broadcast called "Straight Talk With Kathie Adler" over WLIX Radio on Long Island. Her half hour talk show on cult phenomena aired five nights per week for four years and was ranked number five among more than twenty five programs on the station. Kathie produced over 950 programs dealing with dangerous mind control cults including the Jonestown Massacre in 1978 as well as other destructive cults. On her program Kathie interviewed former cult members and nationally known cult experts. With educational seminars as her forte, Kathie taught for fifteen years in churches and schools and is the author of three children's books

thirty booklets, and a six hundred page novel on cults. She is recognized as an expert in her field by nationally known cult experts and is an avid researcher and skilled teacher. Kathie's background as a wedding and portrait photographer shows more of her people skills; she is rarely seen without her camera. Kathie’s other accomplishments include doll design and manufacturing, website design, and other successful business ventures. She is a writer, singer, song writer, and classical pianist. Kathie and her husband are residents of Holbrook, Long Island for thirty six years, and they have two daughters and a grandson. Kathie's hobbies, are NFL football, collecting cookbooks and biographies, gardening, tennis, and Andrea Bocelli!
